Aden is a city port in Yemen, near the southen approach to the Red Sea. The Aden Emergency (1963–67) was an insurgency against the British protectorate in the south of the Arabian Peninsula. This unrest hastened plans for withdrawal and marked the end of British colonisation. Ferrets, Saracens and Saladins were commonly used to enforce the protectorate, alongside Centurions.
The Ferrets, in particular, saw ‘home-brewed’ modifications to suit the conditions. This conversion set attempts to replicate this interesting version.
